Axial spA and Sacroillitis
Dear sir /ma'am My wife 29/F an Axial SPA patient was undergoing NSAIDs and Biological treatments from past 3-4 yrs for her radiating pain in her sacroiliac joint. Now from past 2 months she has started developing pain in her T3 & T4 vertebrae and sternum region specially during night and early morning. Is this also a sign of her same rheumatology problem or something else? She is breastfeeding also from past 6 months.

hello, yes she could be having enthesitis, which can give rise to pain in her sternal area and back. but at the same time, vitamin D and calcium deficiency during breastfeeding can cause muscle weakness and pain.
Next Steps
consult your rheumatologist to ascertain the correct cause of pain

Hi. Most probably the new symptoms are related to axial SpA itself. However, if there is fever, night sweats or recent weight loss then infection may need to be ruled out
