I have been suffering from bilateral avascular necrosis (AVN) of the wrist scaphoid bones for the past 7 years.
I underwent a fusion surgery on my left wrist, but unfortunately the operation was not successful, and the pain still persists.
Now, AVN has also developed in my hip joint and shoulder.osteofos 70 is not working
I have never taken steroids, I do not consume alcohol or cigarettes, and I have never had any major injury or trauma.
I have gone into severe depression because of this condition.
After some time, limping may start, and I am afraid that I may not even be able to walk properly because of AVN in hip joints
I want to know whether Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) or FSWT (Shockwave Therapy) can be helpful for me, or if there is any medicine or specific tests that you would suggest.

Multiple joint involvement suggests some systemic cause for AVN which needs to be ruled out to prevent further involvement of joints as much as possible and the existing AVN joint can be treated according to the stage

I’m so sorry to see you suffer so much at this age.
Simple answer for your question is - we don’t know if it works or not. Not much evidence available.
We can rule out other causes by blood test
Multifocal avascular necrosis at a young age without steroid use, alcohol, or trauma strongly suggests an underlying medical cause, and osteofos alone is often not sufficient you should undergo detailed blood tests to rule out thrombophilia autoimmune disorders lipid abnormalities and rare metabolic or genetic conditions
HBOT and shockwave therapy may help reduce pain and improve blood flow in early stage pre-collapse AVN but they cannot reverse advanced disease
management depends on MRI staging of each joint, and early joint preserving treatment can delay progression especially in the hip. a tertiary-care orthopedic center with AVN expertise is strongly advised, as walking disability is not inevitable with timely, stage-appropriate care
Avn treatment depends on staging of the condition please share your mri reports and films to further know if operative vs non operative treatment is needed.
