Hello Doctor, my 3.5-year-old son was recently diagnosed with mild Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech delay. We have started his Speech and Occupational therapy at ArambH Autism Centre in Varanasi about a month ago.
As a parent, I am very anxious about his future. I wanted to ask:
Is Autism a curable disease? Can he become 100% normal like other kids?
How much time does it usually take to see major improvements?
Since we are already visiting Arambh Centre regularly, are there any extra home activities I should do to speed up the 'cure' or improvement process?
Please guide me. I am worried about whether he will be independent.

There can be significant improvement with treatment. But it is not curable. Other questions require detailed check up. Please take a second opinion from a senior developmental specialist. Contact directly
I need to ask few more questions before answering your query.
Early consultations can prevent complications.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental condition, not a curable disease. The goal of therapy is not to achieve "100% normalcy" but to help the child reach their full potential and live an independent life
