Hi,
My brother is 27 years old. His lifestyle is very much sedantry as he is a software professional who spends most of the time in front of computers. Since two years he is having high cholesterol. Below are the values in his latest report :
Cholesterol - 215 mg/dL
Triglycerides - 158 mg/dL
HDL Cholesterol - 42 mg/dL
Direct
LDL Cholesterol - 154 mg/dL
Non HDL Cholesterol - 173 mg/dL
CHOL/HDL ratio - 5.1
LDL/HDL ratio - 3.7
Very Low Density Lipoprotein - 31.6 mg/dL
He just wants to know how badly his heart will be affected by having such cholesterol levels continuously for 2 years. What are the chances that plaque has been deposited in his arteries resulting in blockage? And which tests should he go for to detect arterial blockage?
