As you are saying wisdom tooth ,So i am guessing its back tooth right,My advice would be to use warm saline gargles and keep that area clean.Visit Dentist because an xray will be needed for confirmation.

Mostly common cause of pain and swelling in posterior most area of jaw is eruption or impacted wisdom tooth. U need to get it checked and an x ray is required of that area. If it is a wisdom tooth then we need to see the angulation of tooth in x ray. If it is not angulated and space is there for eruption it can be left but if it does not have space to erupt then it has to be extracted

You have not mentioned where the swelling is particularly . If u have pain and swelling in lower back region of ur jaw..Yes it could be  wisdom tooth...U need to check with the dentist . After taking an x-ray the treatment would be decided. Other than that if u deep decay in any other teeth that also can cause the same problem
