Anxiety can be quite crippling if not treated in time with the right approach. Even though you may have stopped the medication, it is often not recommended to stop it immediately. An ideal way would have been to request your psychiatrist to taper n stop it. Perhaps seeking another consult with a good psychiatrist and discussing your concerns would be ideal for you. As you are aware that anxiety is a neurochemical issue. As an add on, you may consider undergoing therapy from a trained psychiatrist, or therapist. Lifestyle modification is a MUST, coupled with the above. Needless to say, the best approach would be to combine all three of the above.
