Anxiety is usually a fear of the unknown, whether it is about the future ,  about the behaviour of other people or even doubt of ourselves. It can also relate to past actions and possible consequences. The mind wanders in this grey area and usually comes up with dire imagery which makes the body go into stress mode : heart beating fast ,dry mouth etc. It may feel like you will die of it ,but chances are very slim
Next Steps
Consult a qualified professional, a psychiatrist or psychologist even your general practitioner as a first step.
Health Tips
Practice deep relaxation breathing , meditation .
