I am writing this on behalf of my father who is 85 years of age is a chronic asthmatic patient an.d has recently ( for the last 1-2 months) developed some kind of Anxiety disorder. Even if some one is just asking some simple things that he is not interest in, like the food he will like to take, he feels things are being imposed on him and his freedom has been taken away. Often tells us that he is in great agony and feeling helpless. Also doesn't want to Trust the medicines being given.

There can possibly be two reasons for his symptoms 1) depression and 2) psychosis. Please consult Psychiatrist for assessment and appropriate treatment.
Best wishes.
