Anxiety Depression Suicidal Tendency
Hi. I really need help. I was previously diagnosed with anxiety. I didnt mind it that much but for years now I have been feeling really down. I was hospitalised multiple times for trying to kill myself but I never went to my doctor's appointments. I moved to this new city for a change but I am getting the same feeling again. Who can I contact about this?

Hello, All of us experience anxiety from time to time and mostly we are able to manage it, but at certain times in our lives it can get overwhelming and unbearable owing to various reasons. I can understand that for some one who has been struggling with the same for years, the prospect of facing it briefly, even if it is for a doctor’s appointment, can be an extremely frightening experience- the one we try to avoid like all our other fears. However, once you start talking about it in a warm and empathetic set up, slowly, if you allow, you will begin to gain some control with the help of these professionals. Psychiatric assistance can help to tone down physical symptoms of anxiety, and therapy can assist you in understanding its roots. Therapy also equips you with a number of tools to manage and even ace multiple areas of your life. For any kind of treatment to succeed, compliance is really important. Changing cities can provide a temporary reprieve, however it still won’t change what goes on within us. It serves to distract for some time, even brings some positive changes for a while, but one will still need to make deeper and enduring personal changes to be able to feel at peace and in control. There is definitely hope and you can be helped.
Next Steps
Please consult a psychiatrist and/or a clinical psychologist at the earliest. You can choose to contact any of us here, or any mental health professional in your city.
Health Tips
Try to engage in positive groups, with friends. Try to release some tension by pursuing hobbies or creative pastimes. Meditation, exercises helps as well.
