Things I do to overcome anxiety
1. Exercise
Being physically active not only releases endorphins in your brain but also reduces stress and boosts your mood.
Find ways to exercise. You can go for a walk, cycle, go swimming, go for a run, play a sport or do an aerobics class. You can also do activities at home such as walking, dancing or playing tennis. You can also run, go to the gym or swim with a partner or group. You can also try yoga, pilates, and Tai Chi.
2. Go outside
Try going for a walk or get outdoors and smell the fresh air. Make the time to smell the flowers, feel the sun, watch the birds and trees and go to the nearby nature reserve.
3. Relax
When you are calm and relaxed, you are more likely to perform better at any task that you are performing and you are more likely to feel happy.
4. Tell someone how you feel
Saying what you feel helps others to understand how you feel. It helps you to feel supported and also helps to reduce the fear of rejection.
5. Get active
It is a fact that activity has a relaxing and revitalizing effect on the body and mind. Studies show that even a small activity in the form of a brief walk-in nature has a beneficial effect on our mental health.
