I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. It must be very difficult for you to be in this position. What you’re describing are symptoms of anxiety. Sweaty hands and feet, and palpitations is your body’s way of responding and coping with the situation. The anxiety you are experiencing could be associated with a sense of helplessness you feel, along with a fear of an uncertain and unknown future. Considering the circumstances, it is quite natural to feel this way. Completely getting rid of these feelings at the moment may be difficult. However, you can try to manage them effectively.
Next Steps
Try to address your thoughts and concerns about the situation. Ask yourself what exactly you’re thinking and feeling. Try to come to terms with the situation: Remind and explain to yourself that the situation is beyond your control and you will need to tolerate this feeling of helplessness and uncertainty for some time.
Health Tips
1. Keep yourself occupied with work, hobbies, etc. 2. Do not isolate yourself 3. Catch and stop yourself when you find yourself thinking about the worst case scenario 4. Exercise regularly 5. Relax with some breathing exercises You can get in touch with me for an appointment for therapy if you feel like your anxiety is getting the better of you.
