Hello I understand that some visuals cause a lot of stress and anxiety even if you are not directly related to the incident/individual. It is also quite natural for some people to continue getting disturbed for a substantial period of time. However, you need to keep yourself occupied with work or some or the other activity to help those images fade out from your consciousness. The fact that some considerable time is being taken up worrying about the incident, it could have imprinted on your memory.
Next Steps
if nothing helps, you could seek help from a therapist
Health Tips
keep yourself occupied with work or some activity like music, reading, spending time with family/ friends

Try this see if it works. Ask your family to not give you attention when you want to talk about this fear in particular. If this doesnt work please consult a psychologist before it turns into full OC disorder. All the best !!
