Antidepressant discontinuation syndrome
Doctor prescribed me prodep 20mg 1 week for antidepressant discontinuation syndrome. (I have Used amitriptyline 25mg and stopped as per my psychiatrist advice and it cause ADS)So now Withdrawal symptoms are reduced.So now I m Facing Insomnia ,sexual dysfunction. Is it a side effect of a Prodep 20mg and How Long Prodep 20mg Will stay In System. (What is the half life of a drug prodep20mg) and Hope It will Resolve?

Did insomnia and sexual problems start after starting prodep? If so, that could be a side effect of prodep. Are you taking prodep at night or morning? One can adjust that based on insomnia (under psychiatrist guidance). T half is 5 days, but its takes slightly more longer to get eliminated from your system. Hope it helps.

In one week it will not cause much withdrawal symptoms.. and will not cause dependency symptoms.. amitryptiyline may also cause sexual dysfunction.. you will switch prodep in morning and side effects r reversible once you will stop 💊 you will be back to normal within few days or few weeks

As such the half life of fluoxetine(pr0dep) is 4 days but it’s metabolites will last in your body for up to 15 days
