My ankle was twisted 5 mnts back , had a swelling and ligament tear , still i have pain and stiffness in my ankle while walking.

Best time to treat ankle ligament is after you have the injury with plaster application for 3 weeks.
After that it becomes chronic tear
Still get yourself checked and still if I can get a cast application it can be helpful.
Avoid strenuous exercise and once cast is removed do strengthening exercises

The ankle was twisted inward or outward.
Ideally ligament injury heals within 5-6 weeks.
Most commonly anterior talofibular ligament strain is commenest.
