Can anal fistula surgery causes bowel incontinence,how common it is?i am about to go for an MRI to check fistula track But got scared about reading bowel incontinence on internet? Plz advice

If done by an experienced surgeon, the chances of incontinence is nearly NIL. For doing any such procedure yo have to undergo an MRI scan to find out fistula track in relation to spinter of anal canal. There are lot of new generation treatments like LASER ablation, Endoscopic LIFT etc

Partly true. Depending on the level of fistula whether high or low. Treatment for High fistulas and complex ones may lead to incontinence. But not always. You need to get your investigations and consult your doctor
