ANAL FISSURE
Hi I had kshar sutra treatment for anal fissure on nov8, 2024. But doctor gave english medicines for recovery. At that I used to start cremaffine syrup 2 cups every day night for free motion. Around 4 months completed, slowly I reduced to one cup. Recently I had a feeling that I have small motion hole. If I take cremaffine two cupsmy motion is going free, if I took one cup my motion is not passing freely, . Can I continue cremaffine every day. Upto how many days can I continue,my main doubt  is there any side effects of using cremaffine long term

Your concern about long-term use of Cremadiet syrup (Cremalax) after Kshar Sutra treatment for anal fissure is valid. While it helps in smooth bowel movements, prolonged use may lead to dependency, reducing natural bowel motility over time. Guidance for Safe Recovery: ✔ Gradual Tapering – Instead of relying solely on Cremalax, try fiber-rich foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains) to improve stool consistency. ✔ Hydration – Drink at least 3 liters of water daily to prevent hard stools. ✔ Probiotics – Yogurt, fermented foods, or probiotic supplements can support gut health. ✔ Stool Softeners (If Needed) – Psyllium husk (Isabgol) or lactulose syrup can be safer alternatives. ✔ Pelvic Floor Exercises – Strengthening pelvic muscles can help in better bowel control. Side Effects of Long-term Cremalax Use: ❌ Dependency – Your body might stop natural bowel movements without it. ❌ Electrolyte Imbalance – Overuse can alter sodium and potassium levels, causing weakness. ❌ Digestive Discomfort – Bloating and cramps may occur if used too frequently. Since your issue is persistent, a proper evaluation is needed to rule out any underlying cause. Book a consultation with me for a customized treatment plan.
