My wife was diagnosed with anal fissure. We consulted with general surgeon and laser surgery was recommended. My wife undergone surgery in May. The fissure wasn't removed and doctor said rectum hole was tight and now it is resolved. But the issue isn't resolved and she's feeling the same pain as she experienced before the surgery. She doesn't have bleeding issue. The external fissure is still present. It's been a painful experience as practo Care surgery recommended me to the physician. Now we're clueless on how to resolve this fissure issue. Non surgical treatment preferred as we had a bad experience. She's taking sufficient fiber diet and fluids. Crema gel is the ointment used now. But it doesn't help.

Anal fissure is always a difficult and lingering problem. The treatment that she is taking now (lot of fibre in the diet, some laxative, a rectal ointment with local anaesthetic - Xylocaine ) is a palliative treatment but it has to be continued.
I don't have any direct experience but you may consult some Ano-Rectal clinic which is run by Ayurvedic Doctors. They may offer some non-surgical treatment.
Sad to know about what she underwent
Xylocaine jelly apply before and Anovate cream after apply locally
Duphalac syrup 2 tsf HS
Whole grains / high fibre
