Allergic to b12
My wife wants to get pregnant but she is allergic to methylcobalmin present in medicine form injection or tablet. How much should be her b12 level before she get pregnant? Also, she got rashes due to folvite 5 mg as well, so which tablet she can take to increase her folic acid. Currently she is eating 1 egg per day to increase her b12 levels. Her present b12 level is 232. She is allergic to methylcobalmin.

I’m sorry to hear that. As she has lot of allergies, you should consider getting allergic profile done. Her current b12 levels are borderline , which is ok. But if she needs to increase especially when trying to pregnancy. Consider B12 rich foods - eggs, meat, dairy products, mushrooms Folic acid rich foods- dark green vegetables- spinach brococoli, avacado , beans, sunflower seeds, citrus fruits, egg

Current b12 levels are normal Allergy to folic acid is very rare But if she is allergic she cannot take folic acid
