Alectrophobia
I donno if i ever will need help for a condition like this nor have i took it serious until recently. From my childhood i am scared of chickens.I get panic attack when they are near me and their noise gets me too disturbed.My parents took it as a silly fear..but recently they started growing chickens at my home and i am away due to that reason. Is this a medical condition? When i say i am alectrophobic people including my family laughs at me. I really donno how can i convince them.

There is nothing funny about it.. You have a phobia which is can be treated.. Initially let's try psychotherapy and if tht didn't work thn medications can be added..

Another person may find it difficult to understand the sufferings of you . If you think it is a concern , you should consult a Psychiatrist who can guide you to get better. This is a Phobic disorder and Phobias are very individualistic disorders . We treat with behavioural treatments and cognitive therapy
