Hi Dr,
Today i went to a private diagnostic center to give a blood test in my hometown. Right now i am afraid whether the vaccutainer needle used to take blood was new or reused one from previous patient as i haven't seen them taking off the cover or tearing the seal? If they reused the needle, what are the chances to get blood borne infections like hepatitis and Hiv?
Kindly advise on what are the steps i need to take next?

Well its highly unlikely that they have reused the syringe. But if they had, and the person was infected with HIV and HepB in the first place. Then there are absolutely more than 99 percent chance that you will get infected. But its highly unlikely.
Kindly consult to me via chat or call for detailed discussion. Thanks
The probability is around 0.2%.
But it is very unlikely that they have used a used needle. More over the other has to have HIV or Hepatitis B Infection.
But it is very unlikely.
