Asked for Male, 22 Years

My uncle had ct scan showing cancer in liver and spread to kidney lungs and water in stomach also. Blood report showing afp level 60500. How come afp level is 60500. Please guide us. What kind of stage it is. Doctor saying he has only 5-6 months left.

Possibly he has metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma which will explain such elevated AFP. Was a biopsy done from any of the lesion? Stage is basically 1V as disease has already spread in the kidney and lungs. Survival will be as told to you by the doctor in view of extensive disease. This depends on the response to treatment. If his liver function is adequate, we can start on Targeted therapy or immunotherapy. If response is good, he may survive longer.
