Advice on medicine clozapine 25 mg
I have been on clozapine 25 mg since 2018.Earlier i took pacitane 2 mg with it.In between i stopped .Now I am experiencing excessive tightness at back of my head .I want to know whether tightness is side effect of clozapine 25 mg and is due to stopping pacitane 2 mg or is it due to homeopathic medicine i have taken Moschus, Calcarea carbonicum, Lycopodium, carbo vegitab, Selinium, Aumina, Acidphosphoricum.should I start pacitane 2 mg again.

Hi Clozapine 25 mg is low dose to cause severe side effects But can cause slight discomfort to some people Pacitane keeps u in check with extra pyramidal side effects There is no harm in taking pacitane because of long term benefit So continue pacitane If headache is feature and causing discomfort we need to rule out other cause
Next Steps

Hello, tightness at the back of the head is unlikely to be due to clozapine 25 mg itself, and at this dose medication-related stiffness is not very likely. More commonly, this kind of symptom is seen with anxiety-related muscle tension or a tension-type headache, especially if there has been stress, worry, or poor sleep. The homeopathic medicines you mentioned also appear to be remedies commonly given for anxiety / stress-related complaints. However, since you are currently taking clozapine (allopathic treatment) along with homeopathic medicines, mixing different treatment systems without a clear diagnosis and single treatment plan can sometimes make it difficult to understand what is actually helping and why the relief is incomplete. Rather than restarting Pacitane on your own, it would be better to first get a proper psychiatric review so that the exact diagnosis and cause of this head tightness can be understood and medicines can be streamlined accordingly. A structured diagnosis and management plan is the best way to get the right relief. I also provide online consultation, therapy support and can help review your treatment in detail. You can contact me directly on nine eight two six five four five six six zero.
