For a 31-year-old woman and would like guidance regarding supplements for general health maintenance.
I am considering taking Omega-3 and Magnesium supplements to support overall health, stress management, and sleep quality. I would like to know:
1. Are Omega-3 and Magnesium supplements recommended for someone like me?
2. What dosage is generally suitable for long-term maintenance?
3. Which forms of Magnesium (e.g., glycinate, citrate, etc.) are preferred?
4. How should these supplements be taken (daily or on alternate days, with food or without food, morning or night)?
5. Are there any side effects or precautions I should be aware of?
6. Should I get any blood tests done before starting these supplements?
Goal is to maintain a healthy body, support regular sleep, and address general nutritional needs rather than treat a specific medical condition.

I would like to answer the question no. 6 first. Yes you should be checking your self before taking any supplements. If the real deficiency is there, only then you should be taking them. Otherwise, a healthy & balanced diet taken under a nutritionist's guidance will help you maintaining overall health.
Thank you for the query .
For supplementation , you should be concerned about vit. d3 and vit b12 deficiency which occurs most commonly specially with a vegetarian diet and can cause serious health conditions . So get those levels checked first .
Other than that adding omega 3 in your diet is a good idea , and is harmless . Try to eat natural products rich in calcium , iron , vitamins and minerals . .
Hi
For omega-3, you can start having Roasted flaxseeds or Flaxseed oil tablet post lunch or dinner, for atleast 3 months & then you stop.(Anything in excess would be harmful).
For magnesium, that totally depends on your routine like -
Glycinate is for sleep issues or anxiety, Citrate is for gut issues, Malate helps in supporting cells, and L-Threonate is for brain or cognitive development.
For better understanding i would recommend you to kindly do a basic overall body checkup, and book a consultation with me for a personalised guidance.
