Adenoids can regrow at a later age as the rapid growth phase is around 4 years during which time it may again create issues. Use steam inhalation for now. Which technique was used for Adenoidectomy?
Next Steps
Get a consult for nasal endoscopy/x ray nasopharynx- this will help in deciding whether to start nasal sprays

Adenoid can regrow even after surgery and you need to do nasal spray metaspray 1puff both nostril two times a day.
Need to take ENT consultation and get his endoscopy done
Adenoidectomy was done when the child was 2 years ?
If adenoidectomy was done then adenoids will not regrow
And
Always keep the ears dry
