Acute kidney injury
My father got AkI after diarrhoea and he has to go through 4/5 dialysis session as his creatinine went to 9 but now he is recovering and creatinine is in downward trend..but after coming to 3.2 it is getting decreased very slowly..earlier every week it was getting decreased by point 1 but now after 3 weeks it has come down to 3.15 from 3.21. Please suggest ,is recovery in its normal trend or slow.will it be coming back to normal?

Recovery will vary from patient to patient, especially on his creatinine prior to this AKI. We have to follow up regularly and prevent further damage to kidney in the form of nephrotoxic drugs/infection. If u know his previous creatinine, we will get an idea about how much his creatinine will improve.
