Acute Ankle pain
My father has uric acid problem and because of which he has acute ankle pain and pain in the finger joints, too much swelling on the leg , currently his uric acid is 11.9 we consulted to an orthopedic and some medications were given(vitamin c, Feburic 40 and intaphylline ) which relieves pain for some time and again starts swelling and aching. Ain't there any permenant solution to this problem?

Permanent is through diet only, initially you have to take medicine for lowering your uric acid

All efforts will go in veins until and unless the uric acid levels are settled. Strict diet control… no protein intake… no alcohol

Ask him to consume 4L of water per day. Absolute abstinence from Alcohol ( including Beer), and Non Vegetarian Food[ if at all he takes them]. Constant ankle mobilisation. Avoid extreme cold temperatures of AC. Regular Kidney Functions Test. Thyroid Profile, if not checked previously.
