I have acne scars however i have visited one of the dermatologist in my area. she said that it is ACNE VULGARIS GRADE 2 SCARS and she suggested me the laser setting in which i am not interested. so she suggested me some product ACNETOR AD GEL, AHAGLOW FACEWASH, Z BLOCK SUNSCREEN. after 2 days my skin became so annoying itching, jealous, stretching mark when i open my mouth, so the doctor again suggested me the ACNEMOIST CREAM even though these are costly product i still used it but there is no benefit at all. I am scared to visit the doctor again. now i am using my normal ponds facewash and normal moisturizer cream. so kindly suggest any thing for betterment.

The products used by you will do well for an oily skin with acne, but not provide visible results in acne scars. Since scars are deep, recovering from them require deeper treatments like medium depth peels, dermabrasion, dermarollers, microneedling or laser resurfacing. 6-8 sittings of the treatments most suitable for you as decided by the skin doctor will provide you remarkable results in acne scars.

Scars are amenable to various treatment options and it has to be customized based on your scar type. Acne scars are basically 4 types and each may need a different approach. The treatment depends on the duration of scar and ability to follow-up. The advance treatment option includes Fractional CO2 lasers in multiple sessions and is currently the procedure of choice. Other options include dermaroller with or without mesotherapy, subcision and some other procedure. Certain patient benefit when oral medications are given concomitantly. Topical creams may be of little use and will supplement laser treatment.
