Acne/pigmentation
Hi Doctor, Good morning. I had a query regarding Faceclin A cream. I have acne and pigmentation issues. What is the difference between Faceclin cream and Faceclin A cream? I am prescribed by the doctor to use Faceclin during the day at Faceclin A at night. Are they used for different purposes? Somehow, I feel that they have stopped working, as in no more effective. Thanks.

Thanks for the query. Faceclin is composed of two primary ingredients- Cindamycin & Nicotinamide. The first is a antibiotic and second belongs to Vitamin b complex group. Faceclin A is composed of clindamycin and adapelene. Clindamycin is an antibiotic as already mentioned and Adapelene belongs to a class of medications called as retinoid-like compounds. It exhibits an anti-inflammatory effect and reduces soreness and irritation. Adapelene is advised at night time application as Sunlight may cause photosensitive reaction and burning. Have patience and continue treatment. Hope it helps you. Dr MK Agarwala
