Acne medicine

I have been checking my acne for about 6 months and the result is good but later when i stopped my meds(i-top 20mg, acutret, isopil,etc) given by doctors my face becomes oily again, maybe my skin is very sensitive as i have been applying different kinds of meds from different doctors for the past 4 years.
What will happen if i take the meds for the rest of my life? Is it a good idea? Is it harmful?
