Acl injury
My knee has been injured in an accident on 11 April. I took MRI which revealed complete tear of acl. Today I noticed that lower leg muscles has become thiner than normal leg. What is the reason behind that? Can it be recoverd after surgery?

It's callex 'disuse atrophy'. Simply put the muscles of your lower limb are becoming weak as your internally deranged knee not allowing to function them properly like the sound side.
Next Steps
Surgical reconstruction of the ligament is the only solution in this case. However, for the atrophy you need to do some specific strengthening exercises before surgery itself.
Health Tips
Don't neglect a complete tear of ACL.
