About umbilical hernia
Hello, I am 38 year old female. I delivered my second baby via c section ln the 26 of march 2022. After delivery for past 2 months I am facing problem of umbilical hernia. It is not painful. But my tummy is bulging out a lot and there is tightness in the tummy which is very uncomfortable. Not able to sleep properly on side. What is the treatment for this problem..

Firstly, has the diagnosis been made after an Ultrasound? If not then first an ultrasound is necessary. If ultrasound has been done then kindly share the reports. Till then, you can use abdominal binder throughout the day..it will reduce the herniation..but the ultimate treatment is surgery.

Hernia - surgery is the only treatment, But u should confirm ur diagnosis by ultrasound. If u have completed ur family u can go for mesh repair.

Do one usg abdomen/ CT abdomen to see the length of the defect, accordingly plan for surgery can be done. Usually asymmetric but chances of intestinal obstruction there.
