Birth control pills can only mask the symptoms but cannot heal PCOS.
Next Steps
PCOD is completely reversible in my experience. I have reversed not only my own PCOD but have helped hundreds of women heal their hormone Imbalances and achieve healty natural pregnancies. It's frustrating to see that so many women are suffering and not getting the right information. It can be reversed not by masking the symptoms with drugs but by addressing the root cause of the problem. Needs root cause evaluation with further investigations...Can be healed with diet changes, lifestyle changes, self care and Detoxification.Hope this helps.

PCOS is a medical problem due to hormonal disturbances and the women usually come with irregular periods or others have difficulty getting pregnant as ovulation and egg growth is not happening. Few others may also have disturbing facial hair./acne
Based on the problem for which the woman is presenting treatment is given
If irregular periods present but fertility not required oral contraceptive pills would be a good choice but it is long term treatment.as the basic issue of PCOS will remain irregular cycles will return once pull stopped
If pregnancy is needed tablets to induce ovulation and egg growth is suggested
If she is overweight it may help if wright reduction is tried
