Hello there, since your baby is premature. They can have periodic breathing, that is fast breathing intermittently. Make sure you give nasal drops every 2 hrly, 2 mins before feeds. Proper burping , no bottle feeding.
If still baby has fast breathing, make sure you consult online and get prescribed properly with history or visit nearby hospital

Hi
Fast breathing is based on age group
As ur baby is newborn
Respiratory rate
Count for full 1 minute
If less than 60/min it is normal
And baby should not have any retractions
If it is only nasal block
We can use
Saline nasal drops 0.6%
1 drop in each nostril three times a day
Next Steps
If baby is having fast breathing still kindly consult a paediatician
Babies breath through Nose only.Thet can't breathe through open mouth.Hence if there is nose block then baby can take fast breathe..Keep watch on lips, hand and feet normally these areas are pink and if there is breathing difficulty then bluish discoloration can occur and also fast breathing if persistent then show to your Pediatrician.
Continue Nasal Saline Drops (Nasoclear Nasal drops) 1 drop each nose 10-15 minutes before feeding (you can use 4-6 hourly)
Next Steps
Watch on -Fast breathing with Retraction in chest., Bluish discoloration of Lips,Palms and Sole, and not able to feed...If this present then seek medical advice by visiting hospital nearby.
