Capnea contains caffeine which helps to maintaining breathing in a baby. Because breathing can stop suddenly in premature babies. This is a very serious problem. So please do not stop this medicine unless advised by a neonatologist. Please discuss your issues with a neonatologist. It has side effects such as restlessness, insomnia, irritability and increased heart rate. But stopping capnea can be life threatening. Please take a second opinion but do not stop using this medicine.
