High dose of steroid for long duration in immunocompromised patient has chance of mucormycosis. It will give nasal symptoms like black discharge, crusting, blockage, eye swelling, vision problem, redness, facial swelling, pain, oral cavity mucosa blackening. To prevent one can use Saline nose drops, betadine nose drops.
