My mother is in psychosis suddenly last 3 days she is talking weird stuff suicidal behaviour and heard voices my friend told me to visit a gynaecologist saying it could be related to menopause she started behaving day before her periods is his doubt right and what would a gynaecologist do here?

It could be hormonal imbalance that happens in menopausal or perimenopausal But with suicidal behaviour it should not be taken lightly She needs psychiatrist opinion
