A dark spot on my face.
Hey doc. There is a dark bean shaped spot on my face below right side lock. It has been there for more than 6 months and it's only a bit faded now but still not gone. The first time I noticed it was covered with a bit of white flakes which even appear sometimes. It itches only seldom and usually not noticable. A month ago I saw the best local dermatologist near by and he said it's not any kind of allergy or eczema and it's just change of color of skin in that area and suggested to meet a cosmetic surgeon instead. I keep it moisturized and have applied many things but still it's not gone yet. Also, I suffered some health anxiety for few months for which I was on meds till last week. During that period I made much a havoc of it. Even I couldn't dare to consult any doc because of finding something terrible. But with God's grace and help of my psychiatrist I am OK now. I am going to get married in May this year and want this spot to disappear. Please help.

Thanks for the query. Dark spots could mean many things. I assume what you mean is probably post inflammatory pigmentation. Targeting through a single agent may not always be fruitful. Meet a qualified Dermatologist to learn more about the diagnosis and treatment options. Combination of different therapeutic agents is always beneficial. Revlite I.e. Q-switched Nd YAG laser has been available for stubborn pigmentation and can be helpful when topical creams fail. Hope it helps.
Next Steps
You can call for few centres in your neighbour hood clinics, Q switched laser is a standard treatment option and shall be available for sure.
