8 week pregnancy chance of thalassaemia
Hi, i am 8 week pregnant and doctor ask me to do HEMOGLOBIN ELECTROPHORESIS Method: HPLC which shows Frontal Peak with Low HBA2 are suspicious for ? Alpha Thalassemia (HB H disease), below is the result of mine: Hb adult - 81.6 Foetal Hb (Hbf) - 1.1 HBA2-1.2 My husband's report shows Values of hemoglobin study suggestive of HB “D” heterozygous. What needs to do next? Will it be fine we don't go for further test and continue this pregnancy?
