7 week baby has stuffy nose at night
7 week baby has stuffy nose for last 3 weeks. Doctor prescribed maxtra oral drops and saline drops for 3 days. Condition got better but not going away. Day time is fine but night it becomes severe causing trouble in breathing. There is no cold or cough only stuffy nose. Exclusive breastfeeding and good weight gain. Stool is greenish.what can be the solution. Will a humidifier or air purifier help. Any suggestion for the same. Does it require further treatment.

It is very common  due to narrow nasal passage ,use saline nasal drops .this are safe .greenish stools are not a issue if no fever and irritability

Just wait and continue saline nasal drops every 6hrly for more 5days

This is common situation in infant age group... Not to worry a lot.. It will subside with time...just continue nasal drops at night...it is mostly bcz of small nasal pathway in infants... Just monitor weight and colour of baby..

Monitor colour of baby... If it become dull or blue. Then have to worry and consult doctor urgently...

Nasal block is common in first 2 months of life. Just use saline drops. Cold medications are not required.
