According to what u r describing, u likely experience allergic rhinitis along with sinusitis and secretions from nose as well occasional breathing difficulty . For this antihistamine like bilastine dt can be take , nasal spray prescribed has low potency steroid mainly to reduce airway and nasal inflammation, likely to be seen during sinusitis, as well has assists in removing nasal congestion. Mucinac ab on the other end has drugs to liquefy airway secretions as well as open up airways , which sometimes can spasm due to inflammation and reaction to allergens.

Bilastine is: -2nd generation antihistamine -Minimal sedation drug -No significant QT prolongation at therapeutic doses High-dose antihistamines (even 4× dose) are used in chronic urticaria guidelines. 60 mg/day is above routine allergic rhinitis dose But not typically dangerous in a healthy adult However: Not usually required for simple allergic sinusitis Should be short-term if prescribed Purpose of Mucinac AB: -Thins mucus -Improves sinus drainage -Reduces congestion sensation They are not mandatory but symptomatic.
Next Steps
If this is a fresh prescription: Complete at least 2 weeks, don’t stop midway. Because: Nasal steroids take 5–7 days for full effect. Reassess After 2–3 Weeks Lifestyle Measures: -Steam inhalation once daily -Avoid dust exposure -Use mask outside -Remove bedroom dust triggers +Wash bedsheets weekly in hot water -Avoid strong perfumes/smoke

Bilastine is an anti-allergy medicine. In some cases like allergic sinusitis, doctors may prescribe a higher dose (even up to 40–60 mg per day) for better symptom control. This is considered safe when taken as advised. Please take it on an empty stomach for best effect. Bilastine-M also contains montelukast, which helps reduce inflammation and swelling inside the nose and sinuses, so it improves congestion and breathing. Mucinac-AB helps to thin and loosen mucus, making it easier to clear blocked sinuses and reduce heaviness or pressure in the head. Nasal sprays are very important—they reduce local inflammation and help long-term relief. You can safely take these medicines as prescribed. If you feel excessive drowsiness or any unusual symptoms, please inform your doctor

Your prescription includes: • Bilastine 40 mg (morning, empty stomach) • Bilastine-M (evening) → usually Bilastine 20 mg + Montelukast 10 mg • Flutiday nasal spray (steroid) • Lubrinase nasal spray (saline/lubrication) • Mucinac-AB About Bilastine dose: Standard dose = 20 mg once daily However, in moderate to severe allergic rhinitis/sinusitis, some specialists use up-dosing (up to 40 mg or even 80 mg/day) short term. This is accepted in resistant allergy cases. So: ➡ 60 mg/day total (40 mg + 20 mg) is higher than standard ➡ But not considered dangerous in healthy adults ➡ Should be short-term and monitored If you are not experiencing: • Excess drowsiness • Palpitations • Severe dryness • Headache It is generally tolerated. ⸻ About Mucinac-AB: Mucinac-AB usually contains: • Acetylcysteine (mucolytic) → thins thick mucus • +/- Ambroxol or bronchodilator depending on brand In allergic sinusitis: • Inflammation causes thick sticky mucus • Mucinac helps loosen and drain secretions • Reduces sinus pressure and post-nasal drip It does NOT treat allergy directly It treats the mucus component.
Next Steps
✔ Take Bilastine strictly on empty stomach (1 hr before food) ✔ Avoid fruit juice near dose ✔ Continue nasal steroid regularly (most important medicine) ✔ Use saline spray before steroid for better effect Monitor for: • Excess sedation • Heart racing • Unusual weakness If symptoms improve after 2–3 weeks, dose may be stepped down. Do not self-reduce abruptly without discussing with ENT.
Health Tips
✔ Avoid dust exposure ✔ Steam inhalation once daily ✔ Sleep with head slightly elevated ✔ Control room humidity ✔ Avoid strong perfumes/smoke In allergic sinusitis, nasal steroid is the backbone of treatment — antihistamines support symptom control. If you tell me: • Do you have nasal blockage mainly or post-nasal drip? • Any wheezing? • How long symptoms are present? I can help assess whether this is simple allergy or evolving airway disease. Booking an online consultation will allow structured sinus management and medication rationalization safely.

Bilastine can be taken at this dose though depending on the severity yet it has good safety profile, so there shouldn’t be any problem Talking about Mucinac-ab it is to clear thick mucus secretions and improve sinus drainage and nasal clearance, Rest if there are any side effects you should review with your physician

Mucinac ab helps remove secretions from airways in sinusitis and sinuses and widens the airways slightly, that helps in reducing cough and breathing trouble if present.
