My babygirl is 5 month old. I am breastfeeding her. Her wight is 7 kg. Baby doesn't sleep at night. She wants me to feed her for hours and hours. She will take a nap on my lap while feeding. But as soon as I put her on bed she wakes up and crys badly. I will have to feed her again to console her and cycle repeats. My in laws are insisting me to feed her formula milk at night..They think milk supply is not enough. I don't have plan to feed her anything apart from breast milk. What should i do.

When feeding please empty one breast completely and then switch over to next breast, so that the baby gets both foremilk and hindmilk.
If the baby is just feeding for less time on a single breast and not latching properly, it would be feeding only foremilk, which will only quench the thrist and doesnt fill the stomach and provide nutrition.
Always practice burping the baby after feeding.
Next Steps
please take lactational counselling if available

Use lactare capsules thrice daily for 2 weeks. Keep yourself hydrated.
Few babies cluster feed for soothening effect.
Rather than sitting up everytime you feed, you can try feeding in side lying position. Ensure baby's back support in this position. Pull out the nipple once baby is done sucking. And try rocking or patting the baby to sleep if she wakes up rather than using only feeding as the soothener to baby.
