Zentel 5ml is appropriate dose if 400 mg in 10 ml. For fever give paracetamol according to weight. 15mg/kg/dose for 3-4 times in a day. If symptoms not subside in 3 days go for invitations..and consult

In a 2-year-old child:
Next Steps
✅ For Fever 1. Check temperature properly. 2. If ≥100.4°F (38°C): • Give Paracetamol 15 mg/kg per dose • Repeat every 6 hours if needed. 3. Encourage fluids. 4. Light clothing. Seek doctor urgently if: • Fever >102°F • Child very dull / not drinking • Vomiting repeatedly • Rash • Convulsions ⸻ ✅ For Worm Infection For a 2-year-old: ✔ Albendazole 200 mg single dose (For 1–2 years: 200 mg) (For >2 years: 400 mg) If your syrup is: • 400 mg in 10 ml → Give 5 ml only for a 2-year-old • If she has completed 2 years → 400 mg (10 ml) single dose is acceptable ⚠ Important: Repeat the same dose after 2 weeks to prevent reinfection. Also: Treat all family members simultaneously.
Health Tips
To Reduce Reinfection: • Cut nails short • Wash hands frequently • Morning bath daily • Change underwear twice daily • Wash bedding in hot water • Avoid scratching ⸻ Important Clarification If fever continues beyond 2–3 days, or itching does not improve after deworming, a pediatric evaluation is needed. ⸻ You can give albendazole tonight if she is otherwise active and feeding. But focus more on monitoring fever carefully. If fever persists tomorrow or child appears dull, consult pediatrician immediately — early review is always safer in toddlers.

Night-time itching around the anus in a child strongly suggests pinworm infestation (Enterobius vermicularis). Fever, however, is not typical of pinworms and may be due to a separate viral illness. Fever likely unrelated. Treat fever, give Zentel 5 ml, repeat after 2 weeks, and follow hygiene measures to stop reinfection.
Next Steps
Deworming (Zentel / Albendazole) You may give Zentel (Albendazole) if the child is otherwise active and feeding. Dose for 2-year-old: ✔ 200 mg single dose (usual dose for age 1–2 years) ✔ Repeat the same dose after 2 weeks to prevent reinfection Many syrups contain 200 mg per 5 ml ➡ 10 ml = 400 mg (full adult dose) Therefore: Give 5 ml tonight, not 10 ml.
Health Tips
Important hygiene measures (very important) ✔ Trim child’s nails short ✔ Hand washing after toilet & before food ✔ Wash undergarments & bedding in hot water ✔ Treat all household members simultaneously if symptoms present When to see a doctor urgently ⚠ fever persists >48 hours ⚠ vomiting, poor feeding, lethargy ⚠ severe abdominal pain ⚠ worms visible with worsening itching

Most likely its due to worms infection. Fever is due to infection. So continue zentel or albendazole solution for worm.and for fever you need to add pcm syp .pediatric solution.

Itching in the anal area at night can suggest worms, but fever may be due to a separate infection. You can control fever with paracetamol as per weight and keep her well hydrated.

Dear Patient, Your 2-year-old child with itching around the anus and now fever may have pinworm infection, which usually causes nighttime itching. However, the onset of fever suggests there could be another infection (viral or bacterial), so it’s important to assess before giving medication. What you should do - Do not give Zentel (albendazole) tonight until the child is evaluated for fever - Monitor temperature and keep the child hydrated - Maintain good hygiene: trim nails, wash hands, and clean the perianal area - Wash bedding and clothes in hot water to prevent reinfection Zentel Dosage for 2-year-old - Usual single dose: 400 mg once (10 ml of 400 mg/5 ml suspension) - Dose is repeated after 2 weeks to prevent reinfection - Only give after confirming worm infection and ruling out other causes of fever Consult me urgently - Fever above 101°F, persistent or worsening - Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or poor feeding - Severe abdominal pain or other unusual symptoms For further guidance and personalized treatment you may consult me on Practo anytime.
