Folic acid doesn't help to conceive, it prevents fetal anomalies. If you want to conceive, get a semen analysis of your husband and a Sonosalpingography to see if your tubes are patent.

I don't know, I am getting an impression that many ladies who are trying to conceive and who have been advised Folic acid tablet think that the ultimate treatment for conception is Folic acid . Please appreciate that Folic and is given to the ladies with a view that if she conceives then her baby should not have neural tube defects. It is just to prevent Neural Tube anomalies . Folic acid doesn't facilitate conception.
