Your sleep problem is most likely due to a sudden change in sleep schedule during Ramadan and waking up early for office. When sleep timing shifts abruptly, the body’s circadian rhythm gets disturbed, which can temporarily cause difficulty falling asleep at night.
The daytime nap and anxiety about not sleeping can further worsen the problem, leading to short-term insomnia.
Next Steps
Try to maintain a fixed sleep schedule for the next few days and avoid daytime sleep.
Avoid restarting Nexito 5 on your own, as it is used for anxiety/depression and not for immediate sleep.
Avoid mobile phone, caffeine, tea/coffee, and heavy meals at least 2 hours before bedtime.
Practice deep breathing, light relaxation, and dim lights before sleep to help your body reset its natural sleep cycle

Instead of writing such a long story please consult a General Physician in your, area sitting across the table.
This type of story needs a lot of patience to interpret it properly because he has to read it 3-4 times.
Your current sleep problem is most likely due to sudden sleep schedule disruption and sleep-cycle disturbance during Ramadan.
For about 5–6 days you slept at 3:30–4:00 AM, so your body’s circadian rhythm shifted to a late sleep pattern. Now suddenly trying to sleep at 1:00 AM while waking at 6:00 AM confuses the brain’s sleep clock. This can cause “acute insomnia”, where the brain stays alert even though you try to sleep.
Other factors worsening it:
• Daytime nap (2 hours) reduces sleep pressure at night
• Stress and worrying about sleep increases adrenaline and prevents sleep
• Previous anxiety history makes the brain more sensitive to sleep disturbance
This situation is very common and usually temporary. Two nights of poor sleep does not mean something serious is wrong with your brain or health.
Regarding Nexito 5 (escitalopram):
This is an antidepressant used for long-term anxiety treatment, not an immediate sleeping pill. It should not be restarted on your own just for sleep.
Next Steps
1. Avoid daytime sleep for the next 2–3 days
This helps rebuild natural sleep pressure at night.
2. Keep a fixed wake-up time
Even if you sleep poorly, wake up at the same time (around 6 AM) daily. The body clock resets this way.
3. Sleep routine tonight
• Go to bed around 12:30–1 AM
• Dim lights 1 hour before bed
• No phone or laptop in bed
4. If unable to sleep after 20–30 minutes
• Get up
• Sit quietly in dim light
• Return to bed when sleepy
5. If sleep does not improve in 4–5 days, a doctor may prescribe short-term sleep medicine (like melatonin) rather than restarting Nexito.
Health Tips
• Avoid caffeine after evening (tea, coffee, energy drinks).
• Try slow breathing before sleep: inhale 4 seconds, exhale 6 seconds for 5 minutes.
• Keep the room cool, dark, and quiet.
• Light morning sunlight exposure helps reset the sleep cycle.
• Do light physical activity during the day but avoid intense exercise late at night.
• Remember: the more you force sleep, the harder it becomes—relaxing the mind helps sleep return naturally.
Your situation sounds like temporary circadian rhythm disturbance, which usually settles within a few days. If you’d like, you can also tell me whether you are feeling palpitations, racing thoughts, or restlessness at night, and I can guide you further.
An online consultation can also help you get a quick personalized sleep plan if the problem continues.
Try to go to bed at a fixed time daily, stay away from electronic media an hour before sleeing.
Try reading some good literature before sleeping, do some regular prayers and meditation before sleeping. For days time, observe healthy life style.
Get thyroid function tests done and share results.
You can try nexito again .but main thing is your night sleep cycle is disturbed.so maintain your schedule and make fix time for sleep again.for now 5 to 10 days starts nexito.
I understand your concern. However, giving specific medical advice without a proper evaluation may not be safe or accurate. A brief consultation will allow me to understand your symptoms, medical history, and any reports you may have, so I can guide you properly. Please feel free to consult me here and I’ll be glad to assist you.
Your sleep cycle changed during Ramadan (sleeping at 3:30–4:00 AM). Now suddenly trying to sleep at 1 AM has disturbed your body clock (circadian rhythm). Because of this adjustment, sleep is not coming. Daytime sleep and anxiety about “not sleeping” can also worsen it.
Do not start Nexito on your own. It is an anti-anxiety medicine, not a sleeping pill, and takes 2–3 weeks to work.
What to do:
Avoid daytime naps
Fix a regular sleep time
Avoid mobile, tea/coffee at night
Relax and don’t force sleep
Important:
This is common after a schedule change and usually improves in 3–5 days.
