Concern about my 2.5-month-old daughter’s sleep patterns. She sleeps a total of only 8–9 hours in a 24-hour period, which seems quite low for her age. At night, she sleeps for a long stretch and wakes only once in the early morning for a feeding. However, she rarely naps during the day. It also takes a lot of time to put her to sleep. We tried all the suggested methods- bed time massage, book reading, swadling, a soothing environment- dim lights & no noise. Once put to bed, she sleeps for approx 10 mins and then wakes up. This goes on for 2-3 rounds before she sleeps at a stretch.
She is exclusively breastfed and generally seems content—she’s not cranky or irritable. She’s very alert, keeps her eyes wide open, and is constantly looking for interaction. She enjoys being spoken to and played with, and often shows no signs of sleepiness throughout the day.
Is this something we should be concerned about?

No need to be worried. If her weight, height and head size and development are ok, there is no problem. Visit a pediatrician for check up and confirmation. Don't count sleep hours
