Shelcal XT is a calcium carbonate, Vitamin D3, and zinc supplement, and it is perfectly safe to crush or chew before swallowing. Unlike extended-release or enteric-coated tablets (which should never be crushed), calcium carbonate tablets are not in that category â in fact, some calcium supplements are specifically designed as chewables. Crushing it and swallowing with water will not affect its effectiveness or cause any harm.

Hello, shelcal XT contains vit d with calcium and methylcobalamine in it, so crushing may change the absorbtion pattern of the tablet, also it can cause mild stomach upset. So i ll not recommend to crush it. if you are not able to take it as whole, you can take other formulations of vit d and calcium like sachet or syrup.
