It won't be a serious issue most of the times. Wash it with distilled water using cotton.

If any irritation / redness develops in the eye
Put lubricant drops in the eyes ( eg I kool , available brand name)
Next Steps
Keep a watch on signs of injury/ severe irritation like extreme redness , crying , not feeding well
