Endometriosis is a disease where in there will be a lining in ur ovary ,which otherwise should have been only in ur uterus and from where u bleed every month . our uterus has an outlet through which menstrual bleeding is let out but our ovary has no such opening so menstrual blood from this extra lining just occumulates inside causing a cyst called chocolate cyst or endometriotic cyst .so in order to prevent collection of such menstrual blood we put women on contraceptive pills .
