Xray in covid day 7
My mother tested covid positive and today is day 7 of fever. Blood reports are almost normal (CRP-7) and Spo2 is 99% with no fever. She is feeling pain in chest while coughing (dry). Will chest xray help or should we go for HRCT?

Hrct would be the investigation of choice..I don't think it is necessary at this point of time with a CRP of 7 and SpO2 of 99.. moreover you did not mention regarding the ongoing treatment of any.. please take an online consultation for better evaluation and treatment

Occasional dry cough may persist upto 2 months post viral infection. If spo2 is fine, no fever, chest x ray is sufficient. If symptomatically worsening, then go for HRCT
