Worried about girlfriend pregnant

I just had sex with my girlfriend today and really worried about she getting pregnant but she told me not to because her period just ended 2 days ago so there is lower chance of getting pregnant and she just started birth control yesterday too. but i can't help but worried about it. would my girlfriend be pregnant?
